The Piqua Shawnee tribe is indigenous to north America and also a Algonquian-speaking tribe. The native Americans during the colonial times became a semi-migratory nation. They mainly occupied Ohio valley that extends to Ohio and Kentucky to the east which stretches to Virginia, west Virginia, Pennsylvania and western Maryland that leads to south of Carolina and Alabama and Illinois in the united states and west Indiana.
The European-American pressure pushed them west where the Shawnee migrated to Kansas and Missouri and some were removed to the Indian territory that is Oklahoma, west of the river known as Mississippi river during the 1830s.
When the civil war was taking part in history it caused some of tribes not to remove themselves to Oklahoma. The federal recognized Shawnee tribes are three up to date this are; eastern Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma, absentee-Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma and Shawnee tribe despite it being made up of different historical and kingship groups.

They have such rules in their government because they do not want their issue become spurious. Pekoni, Kispoko, Mekoche, Hathawekela and Chillicothe are the five divisions of the Piqua Shawnee tribe. According to its kingship the Shawnee tribe is divided into six clans in addition to the five division. Every clan illustrated spiritual value and purpose in the confederacy in general. All the six groups are common to the five divisions of the Shawnee tribe and every Shawnee is supposed to be in a name or clan.

The chief of the division lived in in the primary village that every division had and they were named after the division. the divisions and then clans of the Piqua Shawnee tribe had specific roles that the play for the whole tribe.
The records about the Shawnee tribe were being put down by the Europeans but the social traditions of the tribe had started to vanish with time.
